  Paru-paro festival The city of Dasmariñas has undergone changes. From historically being a part of Imus to a municipality in 1864 and finally, declared as an independent city , on Nov 26, 2009, through out the years has metomorphisized into it's final form. The city's unique changes and growth reflect the life cycle of a butterfly. Thus the Paru-paro festival shows homage to their roots and continues to strive in giving the message of continuesly changing and basking new opportunities.
